Who’s Having a Good/Bad Day on Twitter

Our main characters on Twitter yesterday were gun-toting store owner Craig Cope and Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke.

HAVING A GOOD ONE

COPE: The 80-year-old citizen of Norco, California, became an instant legend for being “a little bit faster” on the draw Sunday than an AR-15-wielding robber — and then using his interview with local news station KCAL to say, “More people need to vote and vote the right way.”

HAVING A BAD ONE

O’ROURKE: Conservatives ridiculed the erstwhile Democratic presidential and senatorial candidate for saying parents shouldn’t have a say in whether schools teach “critical race theory” — despite polls showing most U.S. parents support greater curricular transparency and oversight, not to mention the popularity of anti-CRT candidates and governors elsewhere.

THE 4PM: A HIGHLIGHT REEL OF TODAY’S NEWS. FOR CONSERVATIVES. EVERY AFTERNOON AT 4PM.
