Respondents to the 4PM poll overwhelmingly believe U.S. officials should stop talking about how they’re helping Ukraine kill Russian invaders.
WHAT YOU SAID
In Friday’s poll, we asked of the U.S. providing Ukraine with intelligence to target Russian assets and then leaking about it: “Should we be doing this, and should we be talking about it?”
- 55% of you said: “Yes and no. It’s best to speak softly and carry a big stick.”
- 27% said: “No and no. It’s not our war.”
- 17% said: “Yes and yes. Russia needs to know who’s boss.”
NBC News reported Friday evening that President Biden belatedly came to the same conclusion as most 4PM readers.
- Earlier in the day, Biden met with “top U.S. intelligence and defense officials to stress the importance of their work but also said that recent news reports about U.S. intelligence sharing with Ukraine have been counterproductive, according to two administration officials,” per the report.
