Our main characters on Twitter yesterday were Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and White House spokesperson John Kirby.
HAVING A GOOD ONE
DESANTIS: The Republican escalated his war with the press and impressed conservative supporters when he rejected an offer to appear on ABC’s “The View” talkshow — with his team listing some of the colorful insults the co-hosts have hurled at him on air.
The View – the worst show on TV – invited Ron DeSantis on for what would have 100% been an unfair/bad faith ambush.
DeSantis' office responded by listing off all the smears the show made against him, including calling him a "homicidal sociopath."

HAVING A BAD ONE
Kirby: The National Security Council communications chief was widely deemed the loser of an exchange with Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy, who asked why the Biden administration left Afghanistan to terrorists like late al-Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahri.
DOOCY: "You guys gave a whole country to a bunch of people that are on the FBI Most Wanted list. What did you think was going to happen?"
KIRBY: "I take issue with the premise that we gave a whole country to terrorist groups."
