President Joe Biden appeared to struggle to recall the name of a new ally, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, during a press conference Thursday.
While announcing an initiative modernizing the Australian nuclear submarine fleet as part of a trilateral defense pact between the U.S., the U.K. and Australia, Biden referred to Morrison as “that fella down under,” “pal” and “prime minister.”
