Who’s Having the Worst Day on Twitter
Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and CNBC host Jim Cramer are all having bad days.
- But who’s having the worst day on Twitter?
HAVING A BAD ONE
SOTOMAYOR: The Supreme Court heard oral arguments Monday on two cases related to affirmative action, and some observers were shocked by Sotomayor’s apparent inability to correctly distinguish between the concepts of de jure and de facto segregation.
Sotomayor just mistook de jure (legal) segregation for de facto (in fact) segregation. Alito called her out on it and she doubled down! It's an elementary mistake no competent 1st yr law student would make.

DURBIN: Critics mocked the Illinois senator for displaying his shaky grasp on what free speech actually entails.
It literally does include that. You’re a big boy (and a lawyer I thought..?)
Correct the narrative. I have to do it every day when you yahoos try to tell people the Inflation Reduction Act reduces inflation, or when you claim there’s no such thing as gender. https://t.co/nICaQKZGFA

CRAMER: Twitter users scoffed at the financial advice guru’s suggestion, which he made during an appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Tuesday, that propaganda unjustly gets a bad rap.
