A new Suffolk University poll asked Americans what they want from President Joe Biden. Respondents’ top answer? His resignation.
Biden is in trouble.
A plurality, 20%, of respondents to the Suffolk University/USA Today Poll said their single most important goal for Biden over the next year was that he “resign/retire/quit.”
According to the poll, 38% of registered voters approve and 59% disapprove of the job the president is doing, down from 41% approve and 55% disapprove in August.
- Fully 64% say Biden should not seek another term in 2024, versus 24% who want him to run again.
- “If these low approval numbers continue into 2022, it will likely impact midterm Democrats on the ballot,” said David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center, noting, “Independents demonstrated their displeasure with Biden in the Virginia election for governor, which tipped to the Republicans.”
