QUOTE OF THE DAY: ‘Fluid Bonding’

Recent reporting has spotlighted a “new” kind of sexual activity: “fluid bonding,” or sharing bodily fluids via normal sexual activities like intercourse and kissing.

According to sexual health experts, “fluid bonding” involves a conscious decision to share bodily fluids with a sexual partner.

“Fluid bonding is where you and your lover(s) decide not to use barriers during your sexual experiences,” sexologist Marla Renee Stewart told MindBodyGreen, a health website.

  • “Usually, unprotected sex is just a sort of casual, barrier-less erotic experience without the communication and intention that we’re doing this for a purpose.”

“[T]he innate language that expresses the total reciprocal self-giving of husband and wife is overlaid, through contraception, by an objectively contradictory language, namely, that of not giving oneself totally to the other,” wrote the late Pope John Paul II in an explication of traditional Catholic sexual morality.
