QUOTE OF THE DAY: Trump Has the Best Songs

Former President Donald Trump revealed some of his secrets to deejaying a great party during a controversial interview Wednesday.

“You know, I’ve played beautiful music,” Trump said on the Nelk Boys “Full Send” podcast, explaining how he picks the music at his private Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. “I love Broadway stuff, ‘Phantom of the Opera,’ ‘Les Mis,’ et cetera.”

“You know what gets them rockin’? ‘YMCA,'” Trump continued. “They call it the gay national anthem. ‘YMCA’ gets people up and it gets them moving.”

  • “I’ve always had a high aptitude for music, but I love great music,” he explained.
  • At another point in the interview, Trump said, “So, in the history of our country, nothing like me has ever happened. I don’t say that positive, negative. You know, you’ve never had a businessman.”
  • Later Thursday, YouTube removed the podcast episode from its platform, citing Trump’s “false claims” of 2020 election fraud.

The former president’s evident affinity for “YMCA,” the Village People’s 1978 disco classic, was the subject of much internet attention during the 2020 campaign.
