A former Pennsylvania state senator has claimed responsibility for a controversial anti-Joe Biden billboard located near the I-83 interstate in York County.
The billboard, which appeared this month, shows Biden wearing a turban and holding a bazooka alongside the words, “Make the Taliban Great Again.”

THE PRANKSTER, UNMASKED
Scott Wagner, a one-term state senator and proud Trump supporter, told ABC affiliate WHTM-TV this week that he is behind the signage and that he has already purchased 15 more billboards at a cost of $15,000.
- Wagner, echoing bipartisan critics of the Biden administration in Washington, D.C., said Biden’s chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal hurt and humiliated America.
Money quote: “I saw the image [of Biden.] I got it from a friend a few weeks ago. The picture tells the story. We pulled out of Afghanistan too quickly and we left so much of American equipment,” Wagner said. “Joe Biden has made us look like a fool. I feel so bad, words can’t describe what I would say to someone who was wounded or someone’s family who had a soldier pass away in the country after all this happened.”
Billboards have become something of a rhetorical weapon of choice for the “MAGA” faithful, and one appearing to liken Trump to Jesus was removed earlier this week near the city of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
