Our main characters on Twitter Thursday were actor Tom Cruise and Washington Post columnist Alyssa Rosenberg.
HAVING A GOOD ONE
CRUISE: Conservative commentators claimed vindication for the “Top Gun” star after a bombshell umbrella study seemed to confirm many of his views of psychiatry, as expressed in a widely-derided 2005 interview. The study, published Wednesday in the journal Molecular Psychiatry, concluded there’s “no clear evidence” for the “chemical imbalance” theory of clinical depression and so called into question the use of antidepressants.
His tone may be off putting but if you listen to his words…it’s insane that the entire world wrote him off as a lunatic.

HAVING A BAD ONE
ROSENBERG: The Washington Post columnist brought the mainstream media into further disrepute by tweeting that she’s “totally uninterested” in who was responsible for the damage inflicted on children by COVID-19 school lockdowns. Critics noted that the left never seems to have time for a reckoning.
The reason why it matters who pushed for closed schools in 2020 and who stood up for children is that the former have revealed themselves to be untrustworthy to repair the damage they caused by their advocacy. https://t.co/b2mfi8bJff
