Who’s Having a Good/Bad Day on Twitter
HAVING A GOOD ONE
Curtis Sliwa: The anti-crime activist and Republican candidate for the New York mayoralty went viral in a good way for his humane response to an apparently unbalanced man who interrupted Sliwa’s campaign event last week outside Madison Square Garden.
Now I want to move to New York just to support Curtis Sliwa for mayor. If this moment of genuine compassion doesn’t bring tears to your eyes, nothing will. When the homeless fellow started to cry, he became every lost soul neglected by politicians of both parties. @CurtisSliwa https://t.co/jpi7o9zltR

HAVING A BAD ONE
Noah Smith: In a viral tweet thread, the liberal economist and Bloomberg writer revealed how his animus toward “rednecks” stemmed from indignities he suffered as a high school nerd — thereby earning further bullying from the right.
Wanting to rule over people and impose your will on them because you got stuffed into a locker in high school is the origin story of a comic book villain, not a political theory. https://t.co/xtGMmgNgAy
